Closing

Agh!
The past few weeks have been incredibly frustrating for me. I have tried numerous times to share my SPV somehow. I have tried uploading to Youtube, uploading in HD to Youtube, burnign cds automatically, burning cds manually. As it turns out, my file is in an MVP format which is not compatible with most media players. Quicktime, youtube, and windows media player wont play past the 1:00 min mark!
I have downloaded numerous converters (software that allows file formats to be converted to somehting playable), but none of them work with MVP files. Even the ones that I got when I searched for MVP converters.
So alas, no playable movie.. yet. I have managed to burn SPV to a disc. Please pray that I find a way to make things work!

Yep

Wow, I have a serious case of senioritis! However, I did make a little progress with Videre OPS this week.
I have been trying unsuccessfully to burn my finished Senior Retreat Video to a disc. I met with my mentor Wednesday, and we discussed this issue as well as my upcoming video, Oakbrook Playtime (OPV) (a compilation of fun activities around the school). I am going to start the OPV this weekend.
I am looking forward to Spring Break!!!

Bleh

Oh man, what a dreary week. Its rained almost every day. Don't get me wrong, I like rain, but it makes me lethargic. Last week I finished my Senior Video, but I haven't been able to transfer it to disk. I have tried unsucessfully to send the video as a file. Still, it is finished and I am happy about that! Next week I should have a meeting with my mentor. Things are looking up.

Yay

Another week has gone by in Senior Project. This week I was actually productive. I have a rough cut of my Senior Project Video. I filmed a bunch of Seniors at Senior Retreat; they discussed their projects. I took all the clips and seamed them into one video. I also adjusted the audio on each clip by removing hissing and background sounds. Sometimes, I manipulated the audio to produce a clearer voice. On the visual side of things, I adjusted contrast, saturation, brightness, and color to optimize viewing experience. The video is 20mins, so I wont post it today, clips may be coming.

Back

This week I did something extremely difficult for Senior Project- I made a timeline. I usually shy away from such tasks because I love to procrastinate.
February is chalk full of meetings and editing. Today I have a meeting with Mr. Hinds to finalize my plans. Also, I will be meeting with Ms. Reeves ASAP to discuss filming a third grade literary device video!

Overall I am very excited about this month

First Week Back

Wow, it's already January! Crazy Stuff.

This week I composed a timeline for editing videos. I scheduled the completion of the videos for the middle/end of March, because I am always behind schedule. Hopefully everything will be completed by April!
I have heard about an oppurtunity to film third graders and compile footage for a Literary Device video. I am excited to make this part of my project!
Once more into the breach!

Almost There

It's almost Christmas!!!!
Wooooooooooooooooooooo!

This week I cleared one of my memory cards and downloaded all the files to my desktop. I forgot how much stuff I've filmed, including See You at the Pole, Senior Retreat, and the Talent Show.

We finally sent the next issue of The Silver Scroll to press .... yay!
