Good News. Today is my first meeting with my advisory board! I am very excited to discuss my project, and first video with them- Mr Hinds, Mrs Nail, and Mrs Berube. While I already have some footage, I am excited to film more, after I know which direction my video will be going.
One of the requests I have had for this blog is to discuss my research paper. My thesis is: Telecommunication, or television broadcast, censorship of explicit language and subject matter should be banned, as it interferes with the communication of ideas, art, and emotion. People should be personally responsible for choosing what they and their young children watch on television, and utilize the broadcast rating tools to help them discern if a show or broadcast is appropriate for their lifestyle.
While I am sure this thesis will change slightly over time, this is my basic idea.
You have quite a comprehensive thesis for your paper! I am still concerned that it may be too extensive for the scope of this paper. Be alert for opportunities to narrow it as you outline and organize your research.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the expectations of college life- one of your topics in the last post... yes, you are right your time will be arranged differently in college however, it is very deceptive. It feels like you have a huge amount of time however beware...the middle of the term and the end of the term are killers that can creep up on you and threated to overwhelm you. The good thing about being at college is that unlike high school you are (for the most part) in charge of your schedule. The bad thing about college is...you are (for the most part) in charge of your schedule!!! There is no one else to blame!! It is a balancing act with you as the central juggler and freshman year you WILL figure it out!
Thanks! My thesis is changing slightly all the time, by Wednesday I will have an even narrower topic.
ReplyDeleteHaha- yes college should be a lot different. i am worried about my procrastination, but I am very happy I wont have to apply to college whilst there. Ugh, its all time managemnet!
